Frequently Asked Questions

What impact does Wisewell have?

For the average household, using Wisewell for one year will spare the need for 3,700 single-use plastic bottles. That’s a 70% reduction in your water carbon footprint.

What is the long term vision/goal?

For now, Wisewell is a single household product for drinking water, but our long term goal is to be an integral part of a broad effort toward clean and sustainable water. To us, this is just the beginning.

When will the product ship?

Wisewell is expected to be delivered in summer 2022.

Are filters replaceable?

Yes, all filters are replaceable, and best of all, you don’t need a professional to come do it for you. We designed and built Wisewell with a seamless user experience in mind.

How long do filters last?

Our filters are designed to last up to 6 months, but there is bound to be some variation depending on how heavily you use your Wisewell. Once you download the Wisewell app and sync it with your machine, you’ll be able to track the condition of your filters and replace them in a timely manner. Your app will also give you a live read on the quality of your water.

How easy is it to replace filters?

Our twist-and-click technology makes keeping your water pure as simple as can be. Think of it like opening the door to a brighter water future.

Does it need to be plugged in?

Yes, it has to be plugged into a power source to work. However, it is completely independent from a water source. No connection required there!

Does it do both hot and cold?

Wisewell does hot, cold, and even room temperature, so whether you want a glass of water, a cup of tea, or to give your houseplants the most premium watering they’ve ever had, we’ve got you covered.

Can it really filter any kind of tap water?

Carbon filter: Removes chlorine, particles such as sediment, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), taste and odor.
Reverse Osmosis filter: Removes contaminants such as metal ions & aqueous salts including sodium, chloride, copper, chromium and lead by using pressure to filter and flush them out. Extremely effective at eliminating ‘forever chemicals’.
Mineral filter: Adds healthy minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium and others found in many naturally sourced mineral waters.
UV lamp: Utilizes ultraviolet light to kill living organisms like viruses (including coronaviruses/parasites), bacteria and parasitic cysts.

What credentials does Wisewell have?

We have rigorously tested our machine with several labs around the world to ensure that you are getting the safest water at home. We are currently pursuing certification for NSF/ANSI 58 (Reverse Osmosis) through the Water Quality Association (WQA), the leading voice of the residential, commercial, industrial and small community water treatment industry, representing more than 2,500 manufacturers, suppliers and dealers worldwide. We have already received our NSF/ANSI 372 certification, indicating that our product is lead-free, here.

Where does the water come from?

Right from your faucet. You fill up the detachable tank, place it back in your Wisewell, and select what temperature water you’d like to drink.

How much water does the tank hold?

In addition to a 21 cup reserve tank (the one you fill up), Wisewell holds 19 cups of already filtered water at all times inside the machine. That’s about half the amount you’d find in an old fashioned water cooler (which is not a sustainable source!). The average person consumes 8 cups of water daily, so you will likely not have to refill the tank more than once a day.

Does it have a warranty?

Yes, Wisewell comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
